Can I get all the vitamin K2 I need from my diet?

Vitamin K2 can be found naturally in the diet. Foods that are rich in vitamin K2 include; natto, animal livers, meats, cheeses, butter and sauerkraut. The main difference between the vitamin k2 found in food and that found in our Synergy K2 supplement is that vitamin K2 typically exists as MK-4 in food, whereas our supplement is MK-7. This is not to disparage foods that are rich in vitamin K2 as they are typically nutrient-dense and nutritionally important for various other reasons. However, our Synergy K2 supplement is more highly concentrated.

What is the daily recommended dose of Synergy K2?

We suggest adults and children over 10 take 1 capsule per day (with a meal) or as advised by your healthcare professional.

There are two subcategories of Vitamin K2 - Menatetrenone (MK-4) and Menaquinone-7 (MK-7). Vitamin K2 MK-7 has greater bioavailability and a longer 'half life' than MK-4 - meaning it is longer-lasting and more effective.. Vitamin K2 MK-7 is superior to MK-4 as it has greater bioavailability and longer half life. This means it is longer-lasting and also more potent - ultimately making it more effective.

Under modern medicine, vitamin D deficiency is often treated by supplementing with vitamin D alone. But this approach is misguided, and in some cases, harmful.

Vitamin D levels are not always low because of poor intake. More often, they are lowered deliberately by the body in response to excess free calcium. Since vitamin D drives calcium absorption, suppressing vitamin D is a protective mechanism — helping to prevent calcium from being deposited into the arteries, joints, and organs where it can cause damage.
