Supply Policy / Practitioner Disclaimer
Nutrition Diagnostics follows a script-only supply policy for some products. The following requirements must be met in order to obtain a Student Account and have access to ‘practitioner-only’ products and services, as well as any materials pertaining to them (such as technical manuals, product information, access to training seminars etc.).
- a) Products and testing services must be prescribed to patients by a fully qualified and practicing health practitioner in the context of a private consultation.
- b) Under no circumstances should Nutrition Diagnostics practitioner-only product range be visibly stored or displayed in a retail setting (inclusive of online sales).
- c) Nutrition Diagnostics reserves the right to remove products and refuse future sale when stored or sold inappropriately.
- d) Student Certification must be approved by Nutrition Diagnostics to qualify as a health practitioner.
- e) A Nutrition Diagnostics Student Account is valid for one year from the date the account is opened. After this date, a new Account Registration form (Practitioner or Student) must be completed.
If “Practicing Health Practitioner‟ was selected, by signing this form you agree to ALL sections of the terms and conditions.
Nutrition Diagnostics has an obligation to adhere to national regulatory requirements for the distribution of specialized healthcare products. The following conditions must be met in order to obtain and maintain a ‘Practicing Health Practitioner’ account and have access to ‘practitioner-only’ products and services, as well as any materials pertaining to them (such as technical manuals, product information, access to training seminars, and the Prescription for Health software and FOL meal generator.
- a) Products and testing services must be prescribed to patients by a fully qualified and practicing health practitioner in the context of a private consultation.
- b) To be recognized as a Qualified Healthcare Practitioner, completion of ‘tertiary equivalent’ education in an ‘ingestible’ clinical modality, that includes training in clinical nutrition, from a recognized educational institution must be evidenced.
- c) To comply with the definition of a Practicing Health Practitioner, evidence of current membership with an appropriate Australian health professional association must be provided. This must take the form of a CURRENT association membership certificate or TGA exemption certificate.
- d) Appropriate associations include those that govern registered health professionals and/or natural health professionals with clinical qualifications in the field of nutrition (For a list of Approved Australian Bodies see Schedule 1 of the Therapeutic Good Regulations 1990 at tga.health.gov.au)
- e) Under no circumstances should Nutrition Diagnostics practitioner-only product range be visibly stored or displayed in a retail setting (inclusive of online sales).
- f) Nutrition Diagnostics reserves the right to remove products and refuse future sale when stored or sold inappropriately.
- g) Qualifications must be approved by Nutrition Diagnostics to qualify as a health practitioner.
Nutrition Diagnostics reserves the right to cease supplying to individuals who are not complying with professional and ethical standards.
