A healing crisis may occur when detox portals are compromised or the process is too quick. Symptoms can include:

Direction:

Should this occur, the supplement in question should be discontinued for one day. On the second day, the dosage should be cut in half safely. If there is still a reaction, the dosage should be cut in half again and taken preferably at the dinner meal. The procedure should be continued until the supplement can be tolerated. This reduced dosage should be continued for one week before slowly building the dosage up in the same increments that were used in reducing the dosage.
